I went to Monterrey, MX for a business trip over Thanksgiving in 2012. I was lucky to get a room on one of the upper floors in the hotel. Everyone kept telling me about Cerro de la Silla, aka Saddle Hill. This “hill” is almost 6000 ft high. Only about 300 feet less than Mount Washington. Well, the weather during my visit was rainy and of course foggy.
There are signs when you enter Monterrey that say that if you don’t like the weather, just wait a few minutes and it will change. This sadly was not the case during my visit.
Well, on my last morning in Monterrey, I woke up and look out my window to see this amazing view. The entire week that I was there, it was so foggy that I didn’t even know the “hill” was on my side of the hotel. Luckily I was able to snap this beautiful picture.
Just goes to show how easy beauty is hidden from us. So, be patient and look for it, and you will see the beauty in everything!
